Cheng Mun Chee Kee Pig Organ Soup – Soup for supper?

Cheng Mun Chee Kee serves their delicious signature pig organ soup for 15 hours a day. It’s a perfect place to have a comforting bowl of hot soup with pig offal at any time of the day. Located at 24 Foch Road, this unassuming corner shop serves one of the best pig organ soups in Singapore. I love to drink their soup on a rainy day or for supper when the late-night cravings hit. There’s almost always a long queue but it moves fast. They also offer free refills of their soups.

Food we Ordered

Pig Organ Soup for 2 pax

Each soup comes with some pork belly, liver, stomach, meatballs, tofu, salted vegetables and sliced meat. Everything in the picture above cost about $15 in total.

Hua Diao Wine Chicken with Ginger – ($3.50)

The Hua Diao Wine Chicken with Ginger had a savory and rich dark sauce that paired wonderfully with rice, though I was disappointed with the limited amount of meat and the abundance of cartilage in the dish.

Steamed Mince Meat with Chestnut – ($2.40)

Steamed Mince Meat with Chestnut was an absolute delight, with its tender texture and burst of salty notes. A perfect companion to the meal, this dish is a must-try when visiting the restaurant.

Braised Peanuts – ($2)

The braised peanuts were decent, although I did find that some of them were a bit hard. Overall, an alright dish, but its skippable.

Signature Pig Organ Soup – ($7)

The signature pig organs soup had a clean and refreshing taste, complemented by a slight tanginess from the salted vegetables. It offered a hearty and satisfying experience with its well-balanced saltiness. A spoonful of the broth together with the freshly cooked white rice is heaven in a bite.

Is Cheng Mun Chee Kee Worth it?

Overall, Cheng Mun Chee Kee Pig Organ Soup is a gem for those seeking comfort on rainy days or a late-night supper option. Despite the long queue, the efficient service ensures it moves swiftly. The standout feature of this place is the incredibly flavorful soup, which manages to keep the innards from tasting gamey. With an array of side dishes to accompany the meal, this place offers a truly satisfying dining experience. Do note that parking is super troublesome and difficult to find around the area, so I suggest parking somewhere else and walking to the restaurant during peak hours. Don’t forget to get your free soup refills once you’re done with your first bowl and order the steamed minced meat as well.
